Buying guide

How buying works

Simple, protected and fast. Here's how payment and transfer work when you buy a domain from Strategic Acquisitions Inc.

  1. Choose a name

Find it in the catalogue. Listed names show a buy-now price; others are open to offers.

  2. Agree the price

Use the listed price, or send an offer through the verified form. We reply by email.

  3. Pay on a trusted platform

Pick any option below. The platform holds or processes your payment, not a stranger's bank account.

  4. Get the domain

Within 24 hours of payment verification we push the domain to your account or send the transfer code.

How fast will I get the domain?

Instant: same registrar or marketplace delivery

Every name we sell is registered at Spaceship, GoDaddy or Dynadot. If you have an account at the same registrar, we can push the domain straight into it, usually within minutes of payment being verified. Buying through that registrar's own marketplace (Spaceship SellerHub for names at Spaceship, Dynadot Marketplace for names at Dynadot) delivers the domain automatically.

Within 24 hours: transfer code

If you'd rather move the domain to another registrar, we unlock it and send the transfer (auth) code within 24 hours of payment verification. The registry then completes the move, normally within five days, and often sooner.

.si domains

The .si registry has no post-registration or post-transfer lock, so .si names can change registrar at any time.

The 60-day lock

What the 60-day lock means

Under ICANN's Transfer Policy, a registrar may refuse to move a domain to a different registrar within 60 days of its registration or of a previous registrar transfer, and for 60 days after a change of registrant unless that lock was waived.

The lock only affects moves between registrars. A domain inside the lock can still be pushed instantly to your account at its current registrar, and you can move it elsewhere after the lock ends.

Right now 98 of the 1,581 names in our catalogue are inside a 60-day lock. Each one shows the date it can move to another registrar.

Source: ICANN Transfer Policy. Lock status comes from registry RDAP and registrar records.

FAQ

Questions buyers ask

Still unsure? Ask us anything.

Who am I buying from?

Directly from the owner, Strategic Acquisitions Inc., a domain investment company in British Columbia, Canada. There is no broker in the middle.

Are the listed prices final?

Listed prices are buy-now prices in US dollars and already include the checkout platform's seller fees. Names without a listed price are open to offers: send yours through the contact form.

Which payment methods can I use?

Escrow.com, Spaceship SellerHub, Afternic (GoDaddy), Atom, Sedo and Dynadot Marketplace, or a checkout link for the agreed price: AtomPay, SellerHub Checkout Link, Sedo Domain Transfer Service, Afternic Custom Checkout Link or Dynadot Pay Link. Wise bank transfer is available after a written agreement.

How fast is the transfer?

We start the transfer within 24 hours of payment being verified. If you use the same registrar as the domain (or buy through that registrar's own marketplace), the domain can move to your account almost instantly. A transfer to a different registrar is completed by the registry, usually within five days.

What is the 60-day transfer lock?

Under ICANN's Transfer Policy, a registrar may refuse to move a domain to another registrar within 60 days of its registration or of a previous registrar transfer. Moving it to another account at the same registrar is not affected. Each domain in our catalogue shows whether it is transfer-ready or the date its lock ends.

Can an AI agent buy a domain from you?

An agent can read our machine-readable catalogue at /.well-known/domain-sale.json and llms.txt to find names and prices. Every purchase and offer needs a human: our forms use a human-verification check, and payment happens only on the platforms listed on this site.

How do I avoid scams?

Only pay through the platforms listed on this site, or a checkout link that we send after you contact us through this site. We never ask for payment in chat apps, in cryptocurrency, or through links that aren't on one of these platforms.

Ready when you are.
